Distressed typography (very Coulson Macleod) printed onto a 100% recycled, off-white, uncoated, heavyweight paper. Each unframed print is 50cm x 50cm.

There are now five prints in the ‘Decades’ collection. The other three prints are: ‘The Sixties’, ‘The Seventies’ and ‘The Eighties’.

‘Decades’ are available professionally framed. We’ve chosen a white-stained Ayous Wood picture frame with a 20mm width moulding and 33mm depth. This is handmade to order to exactly fit our ‘Decades’ prints, and are assembled by hand by professional Fine Arts Guild framers. Meg from the blog Nutmeg & Company.

Meg is a design enthusiast and recently bought a historic home, which she plans to renovate and decorate every square inch. So pretty handy that she now has three Coulson Macleod ‘Decades’ prints to hang on her walls. She said, “I’m so excited that I wont these prints. They are perfect for the family room in my new house.”

Introducing Coulson Macleod’s Curio Collection, inspired by old pharmaceutical adverts.

For this new vintage art collection, we’ve used hessian, a coarse woven fabric made from the vegetable fibre, jute. We’ve wrapped the hessian around a block measuring 35cm x 35cm just so you know and printed the artwork onto the fabric. Then we’ve mounted this hessian print onto a handmade frame made from gorgeous reclaimed wood (Victorian roof timbers to be exact). The inside of the frame is hand-painted white.

This artwork has an unlimited print quantity.

We’ve attached a hanging mechanism to the rear of the frame so it’s ready for you to hang on your wall.

And just in case you were thinking that the wood looked a bit, well, vintage. Yep! That’s the way we like it. We purposefully retain any defects in the timber to add to the charm and character of the piece. These can include knot holes, nail holes, warps and water marks, so each artwork is totally unique.

Coulson Macleod has created nine typographic art prints for the Opinions Collection. Each features a chunky handmade, vintage-style, rough-sawn solid oak frame surrounding a white-washed oak panel printed with typography.

Each artwork has an unlimited print quantity.

The oak panel is cut and sanded by hand before being covered with a coat of diluted white lacquer wash to fill the grain, and then sanded and re-washed with the lacquer a second time. The panel is then over-printed with UV ink.

The mitred frame is handmade using rough-sawn solid oak with a shadow rebate on the groove. We purposefully retain any defects in the oak to add to the charm and character of the piece. These can include knot holes, warps and water marks, so each frame is totally unique.

The printed panel is then encased into the frame which is then glued and pinned, ready for hanging.

A solid square of gorgeous reclaimed wood. Hand-painted white. Then over-printed with distressed typography. The artwork is packed in a natural jute hessian material and presented in a Coulson Macleod–branded gift box made from recycled cardboard.
