The Jamie Oliver Foundation once again held their annual fundraiser ‘A Big Night Out With Jamie’.

And once again Coulson Macleod was delighted to be involved.

Coulson Macleod’s bespoke print designed for ‘A Big Night Out With Jamie’
And once again our bespoke typographic print was won by David Ellender, Global CEO of Fremantle Media who paid the final bid of £950 in the silent auction. Last year David won the bid on another bespoke print we designed for the same event, paying £1,100 for it. He’s obviously a man of impeccable taste.
And once again we received Jamie’s latest recipe book. This time it was ‘Jamie’s Great Britain’, signed by the man himself, of course. And a lovely thank you letter. Jamie said they raised £135,000 on the night. Which is pretty impressive in these financially leaner times.
The Jamie Oliver Foundation also emailed us to say, “We want to thank you very much for your endless support. It definitely would not have been possible without your generous donation.”

Other details of the night.…
Kate Nash performed. Ben Shephard hosted. Jools wore orange (thanks Daily Mail for that snippet). And not forgetting Gennaro Contaldo (as prompted by Jamie on Twitter)..

Jamie Oliver’s tweet to Coulson Macleod
“The Jamie Oliver Foundation is a registered charity whose mission is to empower, educate and engage as many people as possible to love and enjoy good food. This means learning how to cook, understanding where food comes from, and recognizing the power it can have on our health, happiness, and even finances. We do this through teaching, training and employment, and also by making good clear information available to as many people as possible.”

Here’s our latest creation; a bespoke typographic artwork for Casco Contractors Inc, a construction company based in California…

This personalised typographic artwork consists of four prints, each one measuring 52cm x 52cm x 8cm. We loved the idea of having four separate prints (like building blocks) that when placed together spells out ‘if you build it they will come’. Should fill their reception wall quite nicely, don’t you think?
Cheryl Osborn, the President and founder of Casco fell in love with our naturally weather-rusted steel sheets. And she loved the handmade reclaimed wood frames too.
And we rather love the finished design.

Coulson Macleod now has a brand new website to make choosing your piece of bespoke typographic art that much simpler.
Many of our typographic art prints can be personalised to your specification. We’ve grouped together our most popular designs for you to choose from, and each style can be customised with your own choice of words and colour.
But it doesn’t end there…

For the majority of our designs you can choose from solid oak, reclaimed frames, reclaimed blocks, natural fabrics, rusted steel, solid limestone, recycled paper, or canvas.
Simply pick a design and a frame and tell us what you want printed, and we do the rest, resulting in a one-off piece of bespoke artwork that’s totally personal to you.

We are happiest when we’re creating bespoke typographic art for our customers.
Firstly, because we simply enjoy the design process. Obviously.
Secondly, because it fills our office with love. Personal messages from husbands to wives, girlfriends to boyfriends, daughters to mothers. Special words, thoughts and phrases from the heart that invariably make us go “aw!”.
Sometimes at Coulson Macleod HQ we’re asked to design something a little different. And this is one of our favourites…

As well as designing very cool typographic art collections, we, that’s Couslon Macleod, can also create personalized art just for you.
Just to show you some examples of our bespoke art…
This one, using our ‘Winter Trees’ as a base, was created for one of our customers…

… who then wrote us this amazing testimonial,
“I’d been interested in Coulson Macleod’s work after seeing it in the press, and having discovered via their website that they also do bespoke work, I suggested an alternative wording. We discussed a treatment, I was sent an image for pre approval and five days later a fantastic and unique piece is now hanging in our home. I could not be more delighted with the finished piece of work whilst the service offered was nothing short of brilliant.”
Isn’t that nice?

A close-up of the bespoke art based on our Winter Trees collection.
Our bespoke personalization service can also be based on our rough-sawn solid oak-framed ‘Love’ prints, like this one…

All you have to do is pick a similar number of words and sentences that you want to incorporate, and we do the rest.

So if you’d love to own a one-off piece of art that has been created just for you, or you need to find a truly unique gift, then just click on Coulson Macleod. Simple.

Our latest typographic art collection ‘Landmarks’ can be personalized. And we think this would make a totally superb wedding present.
All you need to do is give us a list of words (we use roughly 70 words to make up the ones in our ‘Landmarks’ collection pictured below).
You could create one that was based on their honeymoon destination. Or create one that focuses on places in their lives together, such as where the couple met, the pub they hang out in — you get the idea.
And we at Coulson Macleod HQ do the rest. We’ll find an image that suits the artwork. The result is a one-off piece of bespoke artwork. A totally personal gift. And you’d be loved by the couple forever!

Your personalized artwork based on our ‘Landmarks’ collection features a handmade frame and panelled backboard made from reclaimed antique Victorian roof timbers. The planks used to make the backboard vary in size for each print and we retain all those lovely defects in the wood to add to the charm and character of the piece. These can include knot holes, nail holes, warps and water marks, so each artwork is totally unique.
The finished item is then over-printed with distressed image and typography in UV ink.

Here at Coulson Macleod HQ we’ve been doing a spot of thinking. And talking. And generally mulling over business.
Our ‘Love’ prints are proving very popular, particularly in wedding blogs and I’ve had various wedding magazines showing an interest too.
So we thought how lovely it would be for those about to get married to be able to commission a print just for them.
Their very own Coulson Macleod. Bespoke. Personalized. A one-off… “to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.”
If you’d like a one-off piece of art creating just for you, then email us, and we’ll start creating your very own message of love.
