Today Coulson Macleod loves Herriott Grace.
Gloriously simple products. Gloriously simple photography.
Herriot Grace is a father daughter business.
Lance & Nikole Herriott live 3400 kilometers apart: his workshop is in Victoria, British Columbia, & her studio is in Toronto. When Nikole first made her home more than halfway across the country, they started to send packages back & forth.
In some of those packages, Lance began to include his own hand carved spoons. Nikole knew they were something special. And with that, Herriott Grace was born.
In the three years since, their small shop has grown to selling an array of hand carved & hand turned wooden objects, including spoons, bowls, rolling pins, plates, & mortar & pestle sets. All one of a kind & made of salvaged, chemical-free, wood. None are exactly the same. None are perfect. But the slight imperfections are an effect of the handmade quality. Sound familiar?
They’ve also sell porcelain dishware, cast in small runs & boast the rustic, tactile, beauty for which their brand is known. They also make, by hand, kitchen linens, cake flags, birthday candles, beeswax salve & cookie cutters.

They even make a rolling pin look gorgeous.
