Win A Bespoke Typographic Print

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

Fancy winning a bespoke typographic print in time for Valentine’s Day?

Coulson Macleod has teamed up with Rock My Wedding — the UK’s most popular wedding blog — and we’re giving away not one, but two, bespoke prints.

The first to choose from is our bespoke ‘What’ print on solid limestone with a handmade reclaimed timber frame (worth £169).

The second choice is our bespoke handmade ‘What’ print with a solid oak frame (worth 239).

Both prints can be personalised by adding your own names and a date at the bottom. Unless of course you happen to be called Mark & Hannah and you’re getting married on June 15th 2012. You can also change the colour of the text if you so wish.

The words were written by Coulson for Macleod (yes, that’s us) when we met & fell in love.

And, as Coulson & Macleod are getting married this year, we thought we’d share the love.

Typographic Giveaway

Tuesday, May 10th, 2011

Very exciting news for you today. Why? Because Coulson Macleod is running a giveaway on the CreateGirl blog. Have you seen it yet?

Julieann (or @CreateGirl on Twitter as we know, and perhaps you may know her too) runs a Boston-based interior design service called Jace Interiors.

And she is well known in the design/interior world and has guest blogged on Holly Becker’s decor8 & Cassandra Lavalle’s  coco+kelley blog.

Once a week CreateGirl runs ‘Home Typography Tuesday’ and Julieann asked us if we’d like to put one of our typographic art prints into a giveaway. So we did!

Julieann writes on her blog, “Today I am so excited to announce a very special giveaway with my friends at Coulson Macleod! How could I not do flips over a company that combines home décor, typographic art, and eco friendly materials? The company’s focus is more on the design aspects of the piece and using reclaimed materials, which means for us gorgeous wall décor with all its natural knots and imperfections.

At Coulson Macleod you have the option to purchase one of their ready made pieces or you can create one of your very own by selecting your frame and sending in your text. Can anyone say endless options?! I love when a company encourages creativity!

Of course my mind is swirling with quotes and ideas! My hope is to create a very special piece for our own wedding day!

As you know I just become an engaged girl, but did you hear so did Hannah and Mark the über creative duo behind Coulson Macleod, so it is appropriate that we chose this “Soulmates Forever” piece as our giveaway today!”

So if you fancy winning one of our ‘Soulmates Forever’ prints pop on over to CreateGirl. The Giveaway ends Saturday, May 14th 2011 at 11:59pm.

Our ‘Soulmates Forever’ piece is a solid square of reclaimed wood, hand-painted white, and then over-printed with distressed typography. The artwork is packed in a natural jute hessian material and presented in a Coulson Macleod-branded gift box made from recycled cardboard.

The perfect gift.

Win A Coulson Macleod On Rock My Wedding

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

It’s no secret that Coulson and Macleod are getting married. Which means we’re paying far more attention to wedding-related blogs and websites.

Before being engaged, I looked through the wedding blogs for more aesthetic reasons. They are generally beautifully styled. And yes, you get to spy on other people’s weddings, which is strictly a girl-thing.

One of our favourites is Rock My Wedding and we have a great relationship with them. Not least because one of the founders, Charlotte, owns one of our ‘Love Makes The Ride Worthwhile’ prints.

Charlotte even featured the print on a post called Wherever I lay my (fancy) hat… that’s my home.

And we get many Rock My Wedding readers becoming Coulson Macleod customers.

But now that I’m a bride-to-be, I can’t get enough of their site. The design is great. The content is fresh. And they maintain a high standard of the weddings that they feature. All unique and lovely.

So the fact they were extremely keen to collaborate with us made us very happy.

So, if you fancy winning one of our new ‘Love Unlimited’ prints in time for Valentine’s Day, go on over and check out Rock My Wedding to find out how.

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

We want to give you £150. Yes. That’s right. A whole whopping £150 to spend on Coulson Macleod typographic art from our website.

We can hear you all shouting “Ooh me please!”

So this is how you can enter our fun little competition in the run-up to Christmas.

First of all you need to be a Coulson Macleod customer.

Then simply take a photo of your typographic print hanging in your home. Aren’t we nosy?

We’ll post your photos on our Facebook page, on this blog, and then when we have enough we’ll put all your photos on a dedicated page on our website.

To get you started here are some photos of Penny McCormick’s apartment in Dubai. Penny is the editor of Emirates Home and her apartment also appeared in the 2010 issue of ‘Hot 100 Homes’ magazine (also based in the United Arab Emirates).

Now we don’t expect you to have a magazine worthy pad like Penny’s. We just want to see what our typographic art looks like hanging in your home.

We’ll announce the winner on 10th December. Just in time for you to pick something out for Christmas. Ding dong merrily on high!

Hope this gets you into the festive spirit.
