Art — The Ultimate Personal Statement
Thursday, March 10th, 2011This could have been written by Coulson Macleod, as we passionately believe in the importance and value of art and design.
But in fact these words are from our favourite interiors magazine, Elle Decoration (April 2011 issue).
Elle Decoration says, “In many ways your choices — those that truly resonate with you — are a window onto your soul, forming an alternative portrait of your true, instinctive self. And if the massing public throngs at the recent Art Basel Miami Beach fair were anything to go by, the art market is alive and well, with an increasing acceptance of what consitutes art as well as a move towards quality over shock value, which bodes well for the future. It’s also becoming easier than ever to buy as the number of galleries selling art online proliferates.”
How very true. As we creep closer to our second birthday, Coulson Macleod is testament to this. We are now a small, but global brand. With customers in 22 countries. Many of whom come back to buy again and again.
Here’s what some of our customers have to say…
“I bought the work from the ‘Love’ collection for my wife because simplicity has great power, and on a personal level it speaks about where we’re at.”
“I look at my Coulson Macleod art before I go to sleep and every time I wake up in the morning…enough said.”
“I love the sentiment of the words printed on my print and love the raw feel of the artwork. It’s added a little more soul to our home.”
So if you fancy making a personal statement, you don’t have to go to the Art Basel Miami Beach fair. Click through to our website and peruse our typographic art. Designed and made with passion.
