Win A Bespoke Typographic Print

Wednesday, January 25th, 2012

Fancy winning a bespoke typographic print in time for Valentine’s Day?

Coulson Macleod has teamed up with Rock My Wedding — the UK’s most popular wedding blog — and we’re giving away not one, but two, bespoke prints.

The first to choose from is our bespoke ‘What’ print on solid limestone with a handmade reclaimed timber frame (worth £169).

The second choice is our bespoke handmade ‘What’ print with a solid oak frame (worth 239).

Both prints can be personalised by adding your own names and a date at the bottom. Unless of course you happen to be called Mark & Hannah and you’re getting married on June 15th 2012. You can also change the colour of the text if you so wish.

The words were written by Coulson for Macleod (yes, that’s us) when we met & fell in love.

And, as Coulson & Macleod are getting married this year, we thought we’d share the love.

showcasing Coulson Macleod’s ‘Paris’ print

We fell in love with the simplicity of the shot: plain white sheets; old trunk; wooden bed; Paris. Lots of texture, gorgeous lighting. So very simple. So very Coulson Macleod.

And we couldn’t do this blog post without mentioning two of our favourites…

We fell in love with the warmth and cosiness of this festive living room. We want to snuggle up on their sofa in front of the roaring log fire with a glass of mulled wine.

And this one just totally reflects the cool simplicity of Scandinavian chic: white-washed paneled walls; industrial light; P.S. I Love You. Beautifully styled.

Lark & Linen Roars For Trees

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

One of Coulson Macleod’s typographic prints was awarded first prize to the winner of Design Refuge’s October Challenge. Design Refuge, if you haven’t already come across it, is the largest meeting place online for design bloggers worldwide.

The winner was Jacquelyn Clark from blog lark & linen, who had to ask for help as she simply couldn’t decide which of these prints to choose…

Handmade vintage-style, rough-sawn, solid oak frame surrounding a white-washed oak panel printed with distressed typography

Distressed typography printed onto solid limestone

Handmade frame and panelled backboard made from reclaimed wood, paint is applied by hand and then over-printed with distressed image and typography

She said, “So as you all know, I was voted the Design Refuge October challenge winner. Yay!! My prize includes a print from the very talented Coulson Macleod and I need your help! Their work is pretty incredible; often made with reclaimed materials, each piece is unique and beautiful. I’ve narrowed it down to the above three and would love to know, which do you prefer? I just can’t decide. As an aside, yesterday Coulson Macleod put together a really sweet feature on their blog about lark + linen. It’s the first time I’ve been featured since starting my blog last April and if you’d like to see it please take a look here. It truly made my day.

In the end Jacquelyn chose our ‘The Roar of Trees and Crack of Branches’ print, which was featured in the November issue of Elle Decoration magazine.

Coulson Macleod Judges For Design Refuge

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

Coulson Macleod was asked to pick the ten finalists for Design Refuge’s October Challenge.

Such fun and a real honour. But you know what? It was really hard. The challenge attracted 48 amazing entries. And we had to choose just 10.

The challenge, which was open to anyone, was entitled “This is me!”.

Interior design bloggers had to post images that represented themselves and their design style. Whether it be a photo of a room, a piece of furniture, a spread from one of their favourite magazines, or a picture from their home or of themselves.

We picked the top ten and now anyone can vote on who their favourite is. The top three then win some very cool prizes. First prize is a Coulson Macleod typographic print of their choice.

So do please pop on over to Design Refuge and get voting.
