Coulson Macleod Loves A Leather Factory

Monday, March 26th, 2012

Today Coulson Macleod loves this converted leather factory…

Designed and decorated by Lyn Gardener of Gardener & Marks, Residential Melbourne 424 has been created in a former leather factory warehouse.

Huge rooms & high ceilings. Doors have been relocated from old mansions. Industrial fittings sourced from disused factories. 38 factory pendant lights hang throughout the loft. The industrial island in the kitchen was an old shoe factory workbench. Recycled vintage. Very Coulson Macleod.

Coulson Macleod Loves Jacqueline Morabito

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

Today Coulson Macleod loves architect & designer of, well, just about everything Jacqueline Morabito.

We love her simple design aesthetic.

In an interview in Saturday’s Telegraph magazine Jacqueline is quoted as saying, “I am very concerned with the past. I like to see a house’s sediment, to see traces of the past and to reveal them. If you make a house too contemporary all of its charms disappear.”

And this is her swoon-worthy home in Provence…

All photos courtesy of Martin Morrell & found via my slow design.
