Hello. Coulson Macleod is an art busi­ness. Foun­ded by Mark Coulson & Han­nah MacLeod. Hence the name.

Not high end art. Just really great designs that we want to put on our own walls. And we do. In fact we’ve run out of wall space.

Our art is unique to us. So no mass mar­ket stuff here. And each piece is hand­made, by local craftspeople.  Made with love and care and attention.

Meet the Coulson Macleod team…

Ciaran & Rhi­an­non
The lovely artisan fur­niture design­ers who make our oak frames. We have a sneak­ing sus­pi­cion that our simple frames are a little on the easy side for them, com­pared to the fit­ted lib­rar­ies and cinema rooms they nor­mally work on, but they’re so nice, they never men­tion it. They have a VERY cold workshop.

Simon
Simon is a top bloke who makes our reclaimed tim­ber frames for us. He says he likes noth­ing bet­ter than dig­ging around demoli­tion sites look­ing for hun­dred year old roof tim­bers. We think he may be fib­bing slightly. His dog always barks at us when we go near his van.

Rob & Julie
Another lovely couple who do all our fine art fram­ing for us. They don’t bat an eye­lid when we ask (plead) for our jobs to be rushed through. Though they prob­ably raise their eye­brows in a ‘will you please be more organ­ised’ fash­ion when we’re not there. They have a fant­astic stu­dio that we’re extremely envi­ous of.
